Toyota Prius 2nd Generation 2004-2009
It doesn't beat the Insight in miles per gallon, but it has a lot more room and a lot of really cool technology which the Insight does not have.Also if you are planing to buy a used 2nd generation Prius you will be suprised by what price they start from. You can pick one up for less than $6,000 and prices go up to $11,000 for a decent one but even the cheap ones aren't bad you can still reach 40mpg in city and 30mpg on highway.
